With all the reboots and remakes going around, you figured Hollywood was going to have to get to Bloodsport eventually. But how do you cast it? We love vampire stories. As Sinners recently proved, you can tell a great one with strong acting and a top notch story. It seems like Night Patrol is going to go this route. The acting is spot on, with fantastic performances from Justin Long, Jermaine Fowler, and CM Punk, just to name a few. Everyone is completely locked in. The story about the LAPD’s dark secret is also interesting. But when you add in demons, lizard men, African mysticism, and lots of blood, things get a little hard to follow. And this is on top of themes of colonizers, race relations, police brutality, and escaping your past. It never stops being fun, but it is a whole lot to take in.
