Episode 37: Cricket Results Overshadow Footy Finals

Welcome back to the podcast where research and knowledge are secondary to the ramblings of an old man and the occasional appearance of his teenage son. Flying solo again this week, we take a look at the final four of the NRL competition, and while we discuss that the best four teams of the season are now fighting it out to make the final dance, we consider whether the scenario of the same three clubs once again dominating the season is a good thing for rugby league. The AFL has its Grand Final teams decided, and in just the fourth season where two teams from outside Victoria will compete for the title, we take a chance at predicting a winner. And in cricket, the domestic one day competition has started in style with three enthralling matches, and lots of great performances which we cast our eye over. And our men's and women's international teams are also putting plenty of matches in the win column, and we talk about those results.
