Episode 37 - Flamingo

from Did You Bring the Hummus? with Kimberly Winters · host Kimberly Winters

Today, I'm taking a break from interviews and sharing some quick thoughts on the recent story of the King Pigeon nicknamed Flamingo. He was given this moniker by the wildlife rehabilitation center who tried to save him after he was found in a park in NYC, his entire body (head included) having been dyed pink with real hair dye, for, it is believed, a gender-reveal party.  Today's episode is only 10 minutes, please honor Flamingo by listening and taking my words to heart.  Mentioned in this episode: NY Times Article: https://www.nytimes.com/2023/02/09/nyregion/pink-pigeon-flamingo-gender-reveal.html Wild Bird Fund: https://www.wildbirdfund.org. Follow them on Twitter: https://twitter.com/wildbirdfund and Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/wildbirdfund/ There are many versions of the Maya Angelou quote, here is the version I am familiar with, which can be found on her Twitter: https://twitter.com/DrMayaAngelou/status/1028663286512930817?s=20&t=AohICMmWFucMy8HeXWOC6g Join my Podcast Fan Facebook Group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/didyoubringthehummus/ Book a free 30 minute call with me: https://www.didyoubringthehummus.com/book-online ©2023 Did You Bring the Hummus LLC Theme Song ©2020 JP Winters @musicbyjpw
