Episode 37: Interview with Jim McDermid, HR Leader

In this episode, we interview Jim McDermid, who has a background as a senior executive focused on human resources over his career. He was most recently the SVP, and CHRO of CryoLife, Inc. publicly traded medical technology company and previously was a VP of Human Resources at Medtronic's Cardiac and Vascular Group with $10B in sales and 23,000 employees. Jim shares his thoughts around talent management and performance management and other lessons he has learned in his career. Jim has a Master of Arts, McMaster University, and a Bachelor of Arts, University of Toronto. Jim has won many awards for his HR leadership, including the Wallin Leadership Award. Jim currently works as an HR Consultant helping organizations with HR Strategy.
