Episode 37: Luke Ruediger

Luke is the Siskiyou Conservation Director for Klamath Forest Alliance, a regional conservation organization working throughout the Klamath-Siskiyou Mountains. He also runs Klamath Forest Alliance's Siskiyou Field Office and the Klamath-Siskiyou Fire Reports Program. Luke works to protect, defend, preserve and restore the biodiversity, forests, woodlands, rivers and wildlands of these areas. Luke and his wife, Suzie also run Klamath-Siskiyou Native Seeds and Siskiyou Ecological Services, where they sell wildcrafted native plant seed including native wildflowers and grasses, as well as some trees and shrubs. They also do ecological consultation work for residents, non-profits and other organizations including vegetation monitoring, native plant surveys, pollinator and native plant gardening, habitat restoration, and environmental advocacy. Luke is the author of a regional hiking and natural history guide titled, "The Siskiyou Crest: Hikes, HIstory & Ecology,"  which covers conservation and ecological issues in the region.
