Hi how's it going man glad to be back um last week was a little bit weird we kind of low energy we kind of talked about earlier you know what I mean um we're here because we always make a weekend out of it but we're back the energy is high we the normal stuff that we do before the podcast we didn't do like didn't bump any rap music like we just started drinking right during the podcast not before which is usually not the case. We went with the VR which was awesome but that's not how you get hyped up for the podcast. So yeah I and I did not anticipate having what you would call ring rust going to know podcast it's been what three months we're gonna do together so I didn't anticipate that it didn't flow as good and you know and I and I we haven't listened to it yet we just did it so maybe it sounds better than I think it is I it wasn't our best we both had to feel like we both woke up this morning and it was good but it wasn't our best we both had it it's shit it's okay everybody has an off day it's out of the way let's go. guess um so this will be a week later but yet obviously we said on the last podcast but uh yeah Wisconsin Nebraska so you don't think they're gonna cover oh boy we're just jumping right into it oh yeah I'm having seen the spread 11 it's a 11 yeah and they're what what are they right it's a ninth and the ninth and the standing is the same right now I think I saw a couple different numbers the last one I saw was two days ago was once I was 11 it might have changed but yeah it changed all the time I think they're gonna match up better like so the brass defense is playing so much better yeah oh yeah so they're not fucking around no the defense is legit the offense well those guys have got to I got some play but you keep fucking serving it up yeah but the defense is solid I think the It's a story that's bringing the fucking life now So like the background is two of our good army buddies one is right here army may winey Him and another buddy of ours. He's been on the podcast mesten. They had a prank They had a set up for a long time and they would come in a drill and they would tell us all yeah We got this plant prank lined up. They had a codename for it ready to go We're all like it's gonna be great.
It's never gonna happen. Well, it happened. It happened years ago And it's great both why need like I already said for one of the best storytellers I know mesten's great storyteller I've had the luxury of hearing the story from Winey for the story from mesten at hairs is going away party before he went to Romania I got the chance to see them both there and page and see pages reaction before the interruption I remember that interruption thing. That's a story.
So I've had the pleasure of doing that I know why me telling us is like well mesten already told the fuck it's going on dude We want to hear your side of the story. I love the story like very stark like when you first started it I said you didn't even after since right I'm sure you dealt with the aftermath Yeah, I love the story man. I I've heard you told us every time I'm working with winey because we work uni medical work down at the arena You know baseball and shit like that and we'll be in the parking lot trick and after thing I'm like fucking white I tell the fuck a story, you know, but but I you'll do it and I do it. I'm like that's a That's a legit true story like people are probably like well shit.
No, man. That's fucking real So we would love it if you would tell the story no pressure Tell it this thing on the part You can tell it two minutes you can tell it 45 minutes we I just want I love the story I got some sandwich because you heard the Jimmy John story. Yes, absolutely It seems like I have several stories built on sandwiches you can tell that story too if you want I mean it matters not to me. I was grand like an idiot I guess I should pretty I should put this with like a couple things here first off this took I Think a couple years to plan and just talk about it at all right Just like us for the shitty days. Hey, shit sucks at drill right now We were all like especially when I we were in the e-form off. Yeah. Oh, yeah, yeah Good job like hey, let's go fucking let's disappear some of her while let's get away And then it was kind of like hey, what's fansize about let's talk about these good people and then in this time?
That's like the idea was it was just like it was like a samurai sword I'm gonna make some sort of just beat it down. This is how this prank I felt like so I thought we should do this. Oh, it would work out if we did that and it's just years and years What was like so just the basic outline of the other plan when you first started we were just fuck around when day drilling So hey, so you work at one piece page fucking loves movies. This is your wife.
Yes page my lovely wife Which I'm sure you're gonna listen to son. I love it Best never happened to me racist So we're just kind of wrapping a drill a little bit from something like we're talking you know fucking around Yeah, it's all goes and then from this we said hey man page. I got this idea. I want to fuck the page So we're talking I said hey look page loves she loves whippies it's her go to a for out eaten She loves it So I want to bring her to your store when you're working and I want you to like just I want you to kick a sandwich Like that was the end goal.
However, you got there That's what I'm all planned out. It was like you guys got understand what just this this thing easy because we had to get the stars To line we had to get where the whole plan was we got to get right at closing time So he's got a reason to be pissed off right we got to get where me and pager even by that store It's a store. It's not by our house the time we were that's where I brought four miles from a lot more timing on your part Oh, it was to sure because there's a blipby's right by the house I'm at the time right by like three blocks away and this one's out there way out west And so it had to be like the stars had to line there and so it was it took two years because yeah It was like trying to get on a podcast between Also messing working that night shit happened to be there Yeah, absolutely everything had to be perfect messing on shift mean painting the area and it had to be right around like I think I don't have clothes ate whatever right right at that time Just it's not easy to get that to line up. No, so we always joke Taylor's have a code word We were always texting back and forth and the go where was kind of like no black on down like they said I reams Go over salsa The deal was like hey, we're gonna drop salsa Every time you're closing you give me a salsa.
It's gotta be on these so page always off like Wednesday and Sunday Yeah, so every Wednesday and Sunday if you're closing you give me a salsa But I'm gonna give you a good to go or go and this one on once we finally got it after like Friday You're talking about them for a year the the salsa I guess salsa text like you know one time a week two times a week and it was all I felt so bad I was like knocking work. I'm on shift page is closing where I'm playing softball tonight All this bullshit and then finally one one one day we were out going to like lows right out about quarter mile from mestin Homeboy gives me the salsa text. I actually forgot about it How did you feel in that moment when you open up a message? What do you want?
Like The three cards you got were like three aces We're starting to drive the car and I get a text on like you know Yeah, I could eat yes, which is I mean to have a woman agree or say that's the same time I mean that's the time to do and one thing I think me and Paige are like you know We don't have a lot of things to come but we love food like we that's our thing back from a kid And we just go out all time go out get some beers. It's a food and so she's like yeah I could eat because we can always eat it's like yeah, absolutely It was tough for me because honestly messing to the labor. I just had to get her right hey You guys you guys are you guys have been around when before it's like hey, yeah, what do you want? Because you just you just opened up Pandora's box.
You have to just say I just thought I'm just gonna say hey I'm hungry. Well, yeah, I mean well. How about how about sandwiches? I'm with these let's just double back It's right back there by the lows.
We just left a hardware store She's like yeah, okay She knows she knows whoopee and she goes it's not like it's gonna be tight right it's a 75 They close it like eight or whatever right like we're good I fucking worked at pop Murphy's when I was in high school and if a motherfucker walked in there at 859 They were getting a pepperoni pizza. Yeah, you have to it sucks as a worker And I bartended and surf for a lot of time so that fucking blows you know And so that's probably why more she didn't want to go and she didn't like bother them probably more than anything And that's why I got to walk it back is that was me and messes plan was to make it work out good It's gotta be like hey, it's gonna be some work on your part. It's worth it It's got you right when you close have the shit packaged up, you know, you guys have been So they're putting the fucking film over all your toppings. They're closing things down.
They're wiping everything down and once again That's why I gotta shout out that dude had the sandwich line on point everything was wiped down It was clean with a past food inspection and he had the plastic over all the stuff It was actually felt guilt so I guess I get ahead of ourselves so I talk into it Hey, don't worry about it. We're right there turn around so we flip around real fast right front of the super target and we Start heading back west. We pull up the timing could not have been any better I think mestans work in the broom Is dead and I think we got to go ahead on a weekend It was always that page could only go on Wednesday's or Sundays So it's it's just the the blimpies and that's a couple like like a orthopedic. Okay.
Yeah, so no one's there It's just they're the only place that's gone on Sunday. There's no cars in front of the fucking place page rolls up And it's like she sees the door. It's like they closed a mint and I'm like He's gonna fucking make it We're right here. We're right here.

Meston is behind the counter Now we walk in and there's a kid who looks to be younger than mestion behind the back and I didn't realize this until everything had happened Meston told nobody yeah, yeah, that's I didn't know he told us that yeah He said he didn't tell it anybody that's fucking hilarious which add to the fact I'm not gonna see hated response. I gotta see some kid who make a high school kid behind a guy I saw him so but which I think I think that's smart. Oh Trust mother other motherfuckers right now. Yeah, he might be green too cuz I was brand like idiot.
Yeah, that's why I said mestion Cold blug killer so we walk in messes work in the brooms like the guy he was just he kind of like Like a head throwback like I fucking kidding me a little sigh he goes and kind of like sets the broom I remember you like sets the room and like falls over like you know fucker falls over and so the Tensions like already the tension is said oh yeah, yeah, and mescens by language is incredible Oh man, he was something else. All right So like the breads put away. He's got to go and like unwrap the meat now So he's got to get this meat. He opens up. It's a total labor for everything nothing is this one Nothing is easy because everything is shut down.
He's got to like get this bread He's I remember had unpackaged a meat like it was like actually like packed Oh, yeah, and so and this isn't helping me because I can feel pages eyes like burning my Something he's building up. He's got like cut this me open now. I'm like here's wrapping I'll go over the trash can and his body language. It's just it's just keeps building up He cuts the cuts of me and then he slides down and now he's like all right, so what kind she's doing and I Don't know she throws a cheese on there.
Yeah, and he just keeps sliding down the line and every time that another topping is added the sandwich His anger He's doing it. He's what really sells it. He's making a mess. Yeah on this clean So she's not what let us on this sandwich.
He's like not putting less down and he's putting less down aggressive This is like aggressive vegetation. It's like lettuce is getting slapped on there. He's not he's not fucking sprinkle on their jazz Yeah, he's throwing things on there. I love he's he's like slapping on onions and shit and The whole plan was is we're gonna get their weight so it's to go so right I'm gonna tell you she this is to go You ask her make her say it so he works down the line the same just done he is obviously frustrated when her page is like so uncomfortable and Messing he did ask you if you want anything at the time.
No, no, I think it works out good because Page had television right? Oh, yeah, I did her anxiety was kicking She was not comfortable. She was totally not in her own and so she didn't care about my sandwich she wanted to get the fuck out of place and Messon said that line he's like all right to stare to go and page just goes to go Messon wraps this thing up right and picks it up and starts walking to the door page turn to me and just like He opened the door up and then mason like converts into this all American And he kicks the fuck sandwich now I gotta say Having thought about our plan I probably did a better job parking Because that fucking cold cut trio There was like fucking tomato and cucumbers like covered in good I mean I'm just like for your truck. That kind of makes it better.
Oh, you know what in the hindsight totally worth it It kicks the fuck out of this thing just it's and it's kind of like it's kind of like sorry life I think they have like you know we had a script we had an idea and then she's like well You just do this is I want we're gonna get we're gonna come in late This is gonna end with you kicking the sandwich however we get from point to point B happens You do your thing right and this is where like I think mason such a fucking stud the whole time is going off. I'm grinning Mestin never breaks character he kicks a sandwich now. I think okay. Well, I don't know what's gonna happen now We don't have an end to finish this.
We don't know how to like close this down He's got a lot of play. I don't know what's gonna happen right mason kicks this sandwich This fucking thing explodes everyone and it's something sprayed back like the blimpies window Free shot it's like do you and he did it kick the fuck out of this thing you got salami and Cucumbers and fucking honey must roll my truck And I don't care cuz I'm just sitting there like and they walks in and page looks at me Because I gotta say something you got it like by laughing at the same time I just said it and then she lost it. She so she gets like teary-eyed. She's not like water workship I can see it building this.
Oh, no I'm not ready to like get the car. You can't let the drink. No, I'm more now. I'm like, okay I know how pages react.
Let's see how we're in this so mason Comes in he's untying his robe. He's a favorite. He's like I'm so dumb at this shit He throws the apron down like I remember Chuck's apron he goes back in the backroom This other guy who's behind the counter is like frozen And like looking at us and like looking at mason And it just froze best it goes like the background. I think the best part about the story was he goes back We hear like He's back to the fucking thing and cursing and you hear like a ruckus and things are breaking like pants are dropping and he's just screaming and Paige loses this I just got this fucking guy fire.
Oh, you just like showed up and up she starts balling and then Basically, there we are. That's what comes out. He hears crying. I'm feel bad.
I start laughing. I give her hug Messing comes out. He's like it's okay. I know him.
I know Nick and Like she still is like I guess the jig is up, but she's just crying. She's embarrassed now. Oh, yeah, it's a little ease laughing Yeah, it's a tough situation because I'm laughing at my wife's sorrow and misery and Messings a good sport the guy makes this some free sandwiches Blimby if you're listening. Thanks for the free sandwiches Um It was one of the finest fucking things ever dude.
That's fucking phenomenal and the thing is like that he took it that extra level You know what I mean? And like Paige could act in one or two ways like like did you have an idea about what she thought? She's gonna get super sad or like super angry. Oh, I knew what's gonna happen.

Yeah at this point you had any I've had about probably three cups of it Jesus and so did you feel like There's some not right or you just think it can I'm sure you went through help obviously diminish the cake I was already drunk before I had the first cup of it Okay, and I think I had a cup and when I was their mid cup or the end of that cup I was informed by biggie What do you think of that stuff and I said? Well, we don't have beer.
This is what it's got to be yeah, and he's like well. Yeah, but that's uh That stuff should be taking you on I was like what do you guys put in here? I'm just like what I was never clearing. Yeah, I was vodka Gatorade and then I'll put a couple bottles of cody in a Whole I think a whole pill bottle of Percocet.

I was like well fuck.

Obviously we got to go right so I'm gonna go home on the way home I didn't I wasn't drunk that was the only thing I drank right I didn't pregame or whatever like I said We were out or maybe shopping to do something on the way home. I'm not talking about the field here I got home and I started vomiting. I got sick And I'm like, I didn't drink. Did you think it was that?
I mean were you like it has to be that? I don't remember what we did that day, but I remember just being like, well, I'm not drunk I'm just like drink a little bit. Right. I'm not I didn't have enough I saw this kind of work like that's weird.
I have had I've had a couple I've had surgery for broken holes that surgery for a broken hand I've had prescription drugs before and I've vomited off of those before okay, like my stomach when it comes to food I'll fucking eat anything. Sausage is fucking weird. It's not weak in that way, but when it comes to prescription meds I've had problems with vomiting like I just knowledge you so but I didn't put that together with that I just figured we ate so I can't remember what we ate earlier. Yeah, yeah Yeah, so so I found out about PD light obviously is what you give to sick kids but it has compared to Gait rates better than gay rate obviously because no sugar is better than water because it's got a bunch of stuff in it So PD light has glucose fructose electrolytes Zinc and a couple other things in there that are it's exactly what that's why you give it to babies if they're dehydrated I read it's all good stuff.
It's way better than water. So a while back for like I use that for like if I'm hungover I'll try to jump some water take some like your profile But now I'll do you PD light and now to get us that further I'll make some PD light with vodka and I just do a free Because people like to like expensive I don't know if you've ever had to buy it yet But we get the off brand. Yeah, so how do you make it white white so it's super easy to do like I like bushes beans I like bush has the best beans.
Yeah, they have like a white northern bean for like a white chicken chili Right, so it's super simple if you want like eight to six servings You can just get two cans like white northern beans right there Okay, you can get so that so you have your beans right there for the bean pork you can add one can of Chicken broth right so you have that and then you add one can of cream of chicken soup Oh hell yeah, and so this is the first like three fours in the meal is so simple because it's all can Right beans add you add the chicken broth and you add your can your cream of chicken soup Then you add a can like retail like dice green chili. Okay. Yeah, why are you doing all that you have some chicken breast boiling? You can't boil me in case anybody wants to know about it.
Yeah, it's like it is socially acceptable Well chicken so you you you boil the chicken and you dice some jalapenos where you're doing that dice up an onion Maybe a bell pepper any kind of a vegetable you want. Yeah, throw it in the chili shred that chicken up throw it in there And then you can see like white pepper maybe a little bit cayenne salt. Yeah, we're super easy to do white chili chicken chili It's good. It's awesome.
So I'm gonna make it next time I come down here There's the rescue is the breakdown is delicious. We've got to have some oyster crackers and throw some cheese on there too Yeah, I mean, it's it's fantastic, but like I said, I'm going to winter So you gotta have like chili but she's that's it's a good spin on chili something different.
