In our thirty-seventh episode, Magic: the Gathering ethnographer Adrienne Reynolds and Hindu pandit and co-host of the Commanderin' Podcast Shivam Bhatt join the goblins for an extremely deep exploration of how Magic lore and design has handled religion over the years. Through the practices of Judaism, Hinduism, and Christianity, our religious panel also examines whether or not Gerrard Capashen of the Weatherlight Saga was a true Messiah figure, or whether he simply presents a paint-by-numbers "hero's journey" protagonist in the tradition of Joseph Campbell.
