Episode 370 - Good Luck, Have Fun, Don’t Die

Honestly, they had us at “a new movie by Gore Verbinski starring Sam Rockwell.” This gonzo 2025 sci-fi comedy satire adventure about timeloops and saving humanity from extinction by AI slop is ultimately a giant swing for the fences, and we are perturbed that it didn’t do as well as it should have theatrically. Tucked within its Black Mirror-like structure is all the angst of our modern world, that asks whether or not we can save ourselves through a renewed sense of shared community interaction. Or else it is just a loosely stitched script of big ideas that tries too hard to throw flashy existential spaghetti at the wall and only some of it sticks.
