Episode # 370 Rebel Ridge with Russell Bailey and Will Chich

from Flixwatcher: A Netflix Film Review Podcast · host Stripped Media

Russell Bailey (Not Just For Kids Podcast) and Will Chich return to Flixwatcher to review Russell’s choice Rebel Ridge. Rebel Ridge (2024) is a Netflix action thriller written, produced, directed and edited by Jeremy (Green Room) Saulnier. It stars Aaron Pierre as Terry, a ex Marine who is hoping to post bail for his cousin. While on his way, he is rammed off his bike by local police officers who seize the bail money worth $36,000 via civil forfeiture. Terry refuses to give in to the police and enlists the support of AnnaSophia Robb’s Summer McBride, a courthouse clerk. After she discovers a number of cases similar to Terry’s cousin they uncover a history of police corruption. Rebel Ridge is a taut thriller with elements of the western genre. Recommendability scores were very high, only let down by low small screen - we wanted to see this at the cinema Netflix! But it still scores 3.97 overall.
