You’ve heard me talk about the importance of lean processing before on the podcast and how following this methodology helps eliminate waste in your facility. But today we’re going to talk about the importance of one of those wastes specifically: The waste of human potential. Yes, you pay your employees to do a job and give them the tools they need to do it, but I’d like to ask you an important question: Are you getting the best work out of your people? If you don't engage an employee’s knowledge and expertise, how do you expect to improve the process? These people on the front lines are the most capable at identifying problem areas. And more importantly?  They can develop the solutions to your problems.
