Episode #38 The Dancing Plague

You may think from the title we are making this plague up, but it was really a thing, and there were several times in history that it happened. This was not just a one time deal! The Dance Plague sometimes referred to as St Vitus dance, or St John’s Dance depending on the area where it broke out. It is just what it sounds like, people started dancing and couldn’t stop! Some had hallucinations, others would scream out in pain, and it was contagious! There is no definitive conclusion of what caused it but we give several theories.
