Episode 39 Hour of Decision: Lies We Have to Live With

from Hour Of Decision

Lew moves through American governance, from 1913 to the present, to discuss the following important institutions and programs politicians sold to the public with LIES. They continue to affect your life in the present, whether you know it or not.The following were sold under false pretenses:·        the amount of income taxes you pay and the complexity involved in paying them for many·        the value, or the fading value of your money, and specific affects like rising home prices·        your tax burden and future retirement under Social Security and Medicare,·        your own student loan debt or the affect of that program on all of higher education,·        the racial preferences and gender weirdness stemming from the Civil Rights Act of 1964,·         Obamacare’s transformation of medicine toward something more like the Cuban model where you can choose which powerless doctor/employee to go to·        the big 1965 immigration bill that has drastically altered the make-up of our country,·        the Patriot Act that sacrificed our freedom and privacy for the hope we will be kept safe·        the international trade deals that continue to strip manufacturing jobs from America·        Dodd-Frank, and the idea federal regulations help our economy and protect us from big business·        The national and international public health regime which strips away our rights and turned the Covid response into its own health disasterEach of the institutions and programs involved her were each sold to the public in a dishonest way.  Some of these building blocks of bigger and bigger government are over 100 years old but continue to affect the lives of average Americans today. Then there are the wars: WWI, WWII, Korea, Vietnam, Iraq, and Afghanistan. Wars by definition are life and death matters for those directly involved, with tremendous rippling affects for everyone in the society. Each one of these wars were presented to the public with varying degrees of dishonesty and each had lasting affects. We will have to live with these lies and their repercussions until we summon the collective will to defeat the Fabian (gradual movement toward Marxist total government) project and restore American liberty.
