Episode 39 with Lise Cochran

Lise has been married to my husband for 16 years and they have an 8 year old son who is the light of my life.  She grew up in the suburbs of Chicago but have lived in Gainesville for over 20 years. In February 2020, after her first mammogram, She was diagnosed with Stage 3 IDC with lymph node involvement. Through the course of 2020, She received 16 rounds of chemo, a left mastectomy, 35 rounds of proton therapy, and DIEP reconstruction.  Learning she had cancer and will need chemo was bad enough, but dealing with this while a mystery illness was invading the globe was terrifying!  However, she fought, stayed positive and listened to the advice of my caregivers and came out on top! She is currently living my best life cancer free!
