Episode #4: Michael Kudirka
from BRIDGE podcast w/ John Lamberton
Mike and I discuss his company MicroTone Guitars which is producing guitars with easily interchangeable magnetic fretboards for access to all sorts of temperaments. Along the way we also discuss coffee, the "only very new and very old" musician personality type, the fact that the guitar is a shitty instrument, French spectral music, woo-woo tuning mysticism, cultural inertia vs. utopianism, the music of Jeffrey Holmes, the legacy of Dušan Bogdanović, free will, and we explore the greater landscape of microtonal music in a series of "microtonal hot takes."
