Episode 4. Nurturing Yourself Through Grief: Coping Mechanisms & Self-Care for Mothers

from Grief in Motherhood Podcast · host Kaitlin Parsons

Hey mama. It’s me,  Kaitlin. Today we are exploring the importance of taking care of ourselves, even while grieving.   Grief has a way of keeping us in survival mode. Each day, we show up as we can. It is important, though, to be intentional in taking care of ourselves,  physically, mentally, and spiritually. By identifying coping mechanisms and ways to care for ourselves, we are strengthening ourselves to walk this road of grief well. It can be so easy to let life happen. Maybe we even feel guilty taking care of ourselves or experiencing joy while our children are gone. But if we can recognize how showing up is honoring their memory, we can begin to heal. Join me as we remember our babies, share our stories and our resources, and hold space for each other as we walk this road together.  Sending you all light and love.
