Let’s get started. Chloe: First, let’s talk about Old Money. When we say "Old Money," we are describing wealth that has been in a family for many generations. Think about famous families in history, or people who live in big, old houses in the countryside. The "Old Money aesthetic"—or style—is very specific. It is usually quiet and subtle. People who follow this style prefer high-quality clothes, but they don’t like big logos. They might wear a beige cashmere sweater or a classic trench coat. The idea is: "I don't need to show you I have money. I just know it." Some words that we use to describe this trend are timeless, classic, and inherited. Chloe: On the other hand, we have New Money. "New Money" refers to people who have earned their wealth recently. Maybe they are successful tech entrepreneurs, famous athletes, or celebrities. Because their wealth is new, the style is often quite different. The "New Money" aesthetic is usually bolder and more expressive. It is about celebrating success. You might see brighter colors, modern designs, and yes—visible brand logos. It is a way of saying, "Look at what I achieved." The vibe here is flashy, modern, and trend-focused. Chloe: So, which one is better? Actually, neither is "better." They are just different ways of expressing value. Old Money values tradition and privacy. New Money values innovation and expression.
