In this episode, we take a dive into one of the biggest events in Catskill Mountain history: The Borscht Belt. The Borscht Belt was a summer retreat in the southern Catskills for people from the city and it contained massive hotels that almost all are now completely abandoned or demolished. Steve Aaron, a Borscht Belt native, chats with me about his time living and working in the area during those days.
