I’m very excited about this week's episode of the podcast because whatever your political views may be, you can’t deny that this man is a character. Independent TD, Michael Healy Rae, a man who I’ve realized lives off about 2 hours of sleep, took the time out of his hectic schedule to have a little chat with me. Outside of the obvious roles that being a TD entails, he talks about the sides we don’t see and the parts that have stuck with him for life like talking a man out of committing suicide over the phone. I went beyond the politics and the paddy caps and found out what really makes him tick and obviously had to touch on his recent “airy fairy” comments in the Dail!
