Rosemary O’Connor is the Founder of A Sober Mom’s Guide to Recovery, a consultant for the Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation, and a leading pioneer, expert, and spokesperson on mothers, children, and addiction. Rosemary has a B.A. in psychology. She is also a Certified Professional Coach, a Certified Addiction Coach, and a Certified She-Recovers Coach.O’Connor is a woman in long- term recovery with twenty-six years of sobriety. She’s helped thousands of people recover from addiction via her speaking engagements, workshops, private coaching sessions, and media interviews. In response to the unaddressed needs mothers have in recovery, Rosemary wrote A Sober Mom’s Guide to Recovery - Taking Care of Yourself to Take Care of Your Kids and When All Else Fails Drink Coffee-For Women Who Are Overworked, Underpaid, and Too Tired to Get Laid.In this episode Rosemary and Kelley discuss getting sober with young children, recovering out loud in hope other mom’s may see themselves in their stories, writing books, and modeling positive behavior for their kids. Rosemary’s greatest joy is being a sober mother of three amazing adult children and now as a grandmother. She loves to hike and swim in the San Francisco Bay Area.
