Episode 40: Splitting Arrows- Redefining our Rankings with The Legend of Robin Hood in 1975

I'm joined by Richard Hopkins-Lutz and Mike Nichols (with a special guest cameo by Allen Wright) to discuss the six part mini series "The Legend of Robin Hood" from 1975, a series that forced us to have a reckoning with just how we've been reviewing and discussing the Robin Hood media we've encountered up until this point! We'll also get into a surprising amount of Blake's 7 discussion. Or perhaps not so surprising, if you're acquainted with the work of Paul Darrow...Following Wolf's Head, this is our second take on a grittier Robin Hood, but our first that presents us with a King Richard I who isn't unambiguously heroic. If you'd like to watch along, all six episodes can be found on YouTube:The Legend of Robin HoodTo read more about the sexual preferences of King Richard and how they have been interpreted, and politicized through the centuries: Rhodes, H.
