Episode 40: The Woman Who Touched Jesus' Cloak

from Strong and Courageous

Hey friends, welcome back to Strong and Courageous! Have you ever felt sick or hurt and really wished someone could help you feel better? Today’s story is about a woman who believed Jesus could help her—even if she only touched His clothes. In Mark chapter 5, there was a woman who had been sick for twelve years. No doctor could help her. She was weak, tired, and probably felt very alone. But she heard about Jesus. She thought, ‘If I can just touch His cloak, I will be healed.’So she pushed through the crowd, reached out, and touched the edge of His robe. Right away, she was healed! Jesus stopped and asked, ‘Who touched me?’ The woman was scared, but she admitted it was her. Then Jesus said, ‘Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace and be freed from your suffering.’That’s how powerful Jesus is! She didn’t even need Him to pray out loud—just one touch of faith was enough. Sometimes we feel small, weak, or like our problems don’t matter. But Jesus sees us. He cares. Even the tiniest bit of faith—just believing He can help—makes a difference.
