Episode 406: Michael Collins of Drugdealer

from Beginnings · host Andy Beckerman

On today's episode I talk to Michael Collins AKA Drugdealer. Originally from Boston, Michael much more identifies an an artist rather than a musician, even though his music is quite wonderful. He moved to Los Angeles in 2013 and began making music under different drug pun monikers including Run DMT and Salvia Plath, and eventually formed Drugdealer, which he thinks of as more of a collective than a band and includes folks like Ariel Pink and members of Weyes Blood. Their first album The End of Comedy was released in 2016, and his latest Raw Honey will be released by Mexican Summer on April 19th.
