Uneducated, unskilled, but unwilling to give up, Ralph Peterson quit high school at the age of 16 when he was told he was a hands-on learner and destined for manual labor jobs. After working for more than eight years as a laborer for a construction company, Ralph knew he was capable of more. At the ripe old age of twenty-four, he quit his job and returned to school. He earned a General Education Diploma (GED) and enrolled in Community College with dreams of being a writer. More than twenty years later, Ralph has earned an associate’s degree in Creative Writing, a bachelor’s degree in U.S. History, a second bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and a master’s degree in Organizational Leadership. Today, Ralph is a successful entrepreneur, owning and operating a management development and consulting company. He is an internationally-syndicated columnist, author of three books, professional speaker and advocate for adult basic education.
