Episode 41: The Ninth Gate

Tomorrow is Halloween, so I thought it was a good time to cover The Ninth Gate, which is a weird film about a rare books dealer who is hired to find The Nine Gates,  a book that is alleged to have been written by Lucifer. As you can imagine, it's a film rife with occult symbolism and ritual. In Esoteric Hollywood II, Jay Dyer devotes an entire chapter to this film. Like Eyes Wide Shut, we see a secret society of rich weirdos LARPing with rituals and orgies.
