Martínez-González, MD, MSc, Profesora y Catedrática del Departamento de Psiquiatría y Directora del Centro para el Estudio y Tratamiento del Miedo y la Ansiedad de la Universidad de Puerto Rico.En este episodio:• Exploraremos cómo la telesalud apoya la atención centrada en el paciente y fortalece los sistemas de salud locales.• Compartiremos ejemplos de integración de la telesalud en escuelas, lugares de trabajo e iniciativas de salud comunitaria.• Analizaremos el impacto de la telesalud en la respuesta de emergencia ante condiciones agudas.• Resaltaremos oportunidades para ampliar el acceso a especialistas en diversos entornos de atención. _______ In this episode, our hosts discuss how telehealth is transforming access to care across specialties, from mental health and perinatal care to emergency services, and its role in breaking down barriers for rural and underserved communities. We’re joined by Maribel Campos Rivera, MD, MSc, Professor and Director of the Center for Community Outreach for Health Across the Lifespan at the University of Puerto Rico, and Karen G. Martínez-González, MD, MSc, Professor & Chair with the Department of Psychiatry and Director of the Center for the Study and Treatment of Fear and Anxiety at the University of Puerto Rico.  In this episode, we will:• Explore how telehealth supports patient-centered care and strengthens local health systems.• Share examples of telehealth integration in schools, workplaces, and community health initiatives.• Discuss the impact of telehealth on emergency response for acute conditions.• Highlight opportunities to expand access to specialists in various health settings.
