Dr. Craig Smith received his medical degree from Michigan State University. He completed his general surgery residency in Savannah, GA, and his fellowship in minimally-invasive, robotic, and bariatric surgery at Indiana University. Dr. Smith is board-certified in general surgery and is a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honors Medical Society. He has multiple peer-reviewed publications. He is a member of the American College of Surgeons (ACS), and achieved a Fellowship certificate from both the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery (ASMBS) and the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons (SAGES). Dr. Smith has special interest in bariatric, anti-reflux, foregut, and hernia surgery. He uses the most advanced minimally-invasive techniques, including the DaVinci robot, to help provide the most optimal patient outcome with the quickest possible recovery.
