Episode 43 - Garrett Jensen

This week, we welcome to the pod the founder of Texas Hockey Apparel, Garrett Jensen. Garrett and Adam discuss building a new brand, specifically in the realm of the hockey community in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. Garrett recently created Texas Hockey Apparel during the first months of the COVID-19 pandemic and has been able to successfully grow his brand to the point that it is now an official sponsor of the ECHL’s Allen Americans. The boys talk about the first time they met each other at the Lone Star Warriors tournament this past March and how they both were able to use that as an opportunity to grow their brand outside of Texas. Garrett continues to discuss his brand by explaining the design process for Texas Hockey Apparel merchandise, from the initial ideas to getting the sketches down on paper to releasing products. Adam and Garrett later dive into the relationships that playing hockey and the hockey community can create, playing music in a band, and the current state of adult league hockey in the DFW area. They wind down the episode by talking through the future of their brands and how it feels to look back on all the work they’ve put into them thus far.
