Lasse Antonsen was born in Copenhagen, Denmark. He is an artist, art historian, and curator. For 25 years he was Director of the University Art Gallery at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth, where he also taught art history. Toward the end of his teaching career, he specialized in Graduate seminars, focusing on creativity, which he was also teaching at RISD (Rhode Island School of Design) and at Massachusetts College of Art. As an artist, he has exhibited, or created installations, at the Artists Foundation in Boston, The Providence Museum of Natural History, the Mestrovic Pavilion in Zagreb, Croatia, and Kunstkraftwerk in Leipzig, Germany, among many other places.
