The Bible reminds us that each generation is connected, with a divine purpose to declare God's glory: "One generation shall praise thy works to another, and shall declare thy mighty acts" (Psalm 145:4, KJV). Start with connection. God calls us to both teach and nurture. "And ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord" (Ephesians 6:4, KJV). The key? It's not just teaching what to do but showing why. Share God's Word, live out your faith, and be patient in love. Remember, "The just man walketh in his integrity: his children are blessed after him" (Proverbs 20:7, KJV). Parents: Teach your children the beauty of walking with the Lord. Share the testimonies of God's faithfulness AND do not provoke your children. (Ephesians 6:4, NKJV) Children: Honor your parents, as the Word commands: "Honour thy father and thy mother" (Exodus 20:12, KJV). When we bridge the gap, we do more than unify generations.
