The latest stop on my epic 2,100-mile Road Trip is the place where the Civil War was ended, Appomattox, Virginia. After the last story of the Blue Ridge Parkway fail was this a chapter with a happy ending? Well, yes and no. Infomercials have been a staple of daytime television for decades.
