Episode 43: UriCap Female: A Leak-Free Solution for Urine Collection in Women
from UroNurse · host UroNurse
Female urinary collection devices are used to collect urine from women who are unable to control their bladder. They are a non-invasive alternative to indwelling catheters and can be used for both short-term and long-term management of urinary incontinence. There are two main types of female urinary collection devices: external collection devices and internal collection devices. External collection devices are worn on the outside of the body and collect urine in a bag. Internal collection devices are inserted into the urethra and collect urine in a tube that is connected to a bag. The UriCap Female is an external urine collection device for managing female urinary incontinence. Sandi Brunello , MSN, RN, FNP-C, WOCN will review the UriCap Female external urine collection device. She will discuss how it works, who it's indicated for and how it can have a positive impact on clinical outcomes and your patients' quality of life. *The information provided on the site is for educational purposes only, and does not substitute for professional medical advice.
