Generative AI is expected to grow by US$158.6 billion by 2028, according to #canalys The growth of AI presents data center companies with opportunities to innovate, expand their service offerings, and cater to the evolving needs of AI-driven applications and enterprises. However, it also comes at a cost. Global data center capacity is projected to grow by over 120 GW by 2030, fuelled by AI demand, with energy consumption expected to double to ~1,400 TWh, compared to 1% of today's total. This growth outpaces current power demand trends, posing capacity and sustainability challenges.
