Live from the US, I recently reconnected with Kristine Esposo Telford, Executive Director of External Affairs at the Edison Electric Institute (EEI). We first met years ago during a trip to Spain, where our shared experiences and discussions left a lasting impression. Kristine leads EEI’s External Affairs department and is responsible for outreach to state and local legislators and external stakeholders, as well as EEI’s public affairs practice, which helps member companies achieve legislative and policy success through issue advocacy tools and campaigns. EEI is the association representing all U.S. investor-owned electric companies. Previously, Kristine provided public affairs counsel to Fortune 500 clients, specializing in grassroots communications, strategic partnerships, and coalition management around advocacy groups, think tanks, and issue experts.Originally from Frederick, Maryland, Kristine graduated from The George Washington University with a B.A. in Political Science and completed graduate coursework in International Commerce and Policy at George Mason University. She was recently named to the National Association of Asian Pacifics in Politics and Public Affairs’ 40 under 40. 🏆In our conversation, we covered:1.
