Episode 44 - Sweet Hour of Prayer

Welcome to Daily Growth Point, I’m Pastor John Bingham.One of the things that strikes me about the life of Jesus is His emphasis that He had regarding prayer. Jesus said, “Men ought always to pray.” Prayer is how we bring our needs to God. It is how we unburden our hearts before Him. And it is one of the ways that we strengthen our relationship with Him. Late in the 18th century England, a humble blind preacher spent his days in creating hand carvings and in prayer. He had spent countless hours at his work bench dwelling at the feet of Jesus. There in that humble shop, he wrote of his experience:Sweet hour of Prayer! Sweet hour of prayer!That calls me from a world of care,And bids me at my Father’s throneMake all my wants and wishes known;Take time for prayer today.
