Episode 44: “The Thrilling Episode” featuring Charlie Black

Aidan Serra brings on special guest Charlie Black to help him in James Paracy’s absence for this episode of the podcast. Charlie is a seasoned vet in the hockey world, having worked throughout junior hockey in British Columbia in a variety of capacities. He talks about his move to Powell River to work with the BCHL’s Powell River Kings before giving his insight on the direction of the BCHL moving forward. Following that, Charlie and Aidan go into some NHL news, touching on the status of all three Pacific Division Canadian teams, Morgan Rielly’s suspension, and a difficult situation currently being experienced by New York Rangers General Manager Chris Drury. As the end of the season approaches, Aidan’s number two prospect for the upcoming NHL Draft becomes very apparent in Russian forward Ivan Demidov. Aidan and Charlie talk Demidov before parking some time at the end of the episode for a difficult situation surrounding comments made about Patrik Laine.
