And what's up everyone and welcome back to the Daily P-FAF. This is episode 44 for Sunday, May 6th, 2018 and the time is now 6.45 p.m. And I will just call this one the weekly or the weekend round up because this was a very busy weekend for me. Two trips to Home Depot, two trips to Busy Beaver, all home stuff, cut my grass yesterday, laid grub killer seed down on my grass because last year my grass decided to develop all the brown, splotchy patches of dead earth.
And so I laid that down, watered it, bagged all the grass, and then today back to Home Depot for more weed killer and all that kind of crap. So it was just a crazy busy home owner weekend and it wasn't enjoyable, but it's stuff that had to be done. I did finally buy a bird feeder and I know that excites everybody listening, but you guys know I'm on a quest to do a bunch of bird pictures this year to go along with a hummingbird feeder. And kind of the funny story is I have this guy that works for me.
He is absolutely MacGyver from head to toe. This guy can build anything out of anything. And he sees me across the street trying to fill this bird feeder and he comes walking over. And he said, where are you putting that thing?
And I'm like, I don't know, I'm just going to set it on top of my freaking fence post. He goes, give it to me. And he takes it over to the ambulance base and literally five minutes later he comes back with this fabricated bird post out of two pieces of wood, a hanging hook, hinges and brackets, screws it into my fence. And it works and it looks good.
And so I had to go to busy beaver to buy white spray paint so it matched my fence. And that was seriously just, you know, these are the highlights of home owner weekend for me. I can't even talk about last night's Penguin game because that is just unbelievably horrible what happened in that game and tomorrow is going to be much worse as the penguins face elimination. But I am holding out hope because last year I think they faced elimination three times and they came back to win it all.
And of course, you know, they end the season winning the Stanley Cup. So I am holding out hope that they're going to be able to pull this off. And we'll see. But it is a busy week for me coming up Penguin game Monday, big corporate CPR class on Wednesday, next Saturday, doing senior pictures in downtown Pittsburgh for a client.
And then Saturday afternoon, I'm finally getting Verizon Fios installed because Comcast sucks. They sent three technicians out to my house. I think I talked about this. They've not been able to fix my connectivity issues.
My internet keeps dropping left and right. And so I finally canceled that and I'm going to go the route of Fios. So we'll see how that works. But yesterday, I guess, Cinco de Mayo and of course everyone here in the United States loses their mind for some reason over this holiday.
And I got to tell you and I'll share the story with you guys. I used to live in Mexico for two years. Cinco de Mayo isn't like the big deal that we make it out to be down there. Okay.
It's just like this crazy, I don't know, money maker deal up here. But it's just kind of funny. You know, as I log on to Instagram and Twitter and I see, you know, a lot of the models that I follow and stuff like that, you know, out and about with their sombrero's on thinking that this is like some great, massively important holiday that they need to celebrate. And it's just, it's crazy to me.
But yeah, in Mexico, they don't, they don't go nuts for it the way we do here. So to me, it's just kind of bizarre that we celebrate in other countries holiday like that. But whatever. I mean, you know, what do I know?
I don't care. So it's just, it's just silly and funny. But anyways, Sunday night now, 10 to 7 last Sunday was the season finale of Homeland. And you can hear my dog dancing all through the kitchen with her nails dragging.
So I apologize for that. But last Sunday season finale of Homeland, if you're a big Homeland fan, that kind of ended with a little bit of a, I don't know, I don't even, I still don't know. It's been a week. I don't know how I feel about that ending.
To me, I thought it was kind of cheesy. But so I know Homeland, so I got to get over that and find something else to do or watch. I've been sitting out on my front porch all weekend with my friends. I was on my front porch all weekend with my camera.
Didn't really get any exciting bird pictures. So I don't know. It was, like I said, it was just homeowner weekend. Tried some photography.
Didn't get anything good. Didn't do a podcast yesterday catching up now. So that's it. That's the end of my, that's the end of today's rant.
