This week Patsy has the honor and privilege to interview author Defne Suman and discuss her newest book, The Silence of Scheherazade. Patsy and Defne discuss the differences and startling similarities that the United States and Turkey have in common when it comes to how history is taught in schools, as that is the very subject of the opening of her book. They also discuss the inspiration for the story and characters, the immense amount of research that needed to be done, and the personal connection she had to not only the subject matter but the characters and the meaning behind the name of the book's titular character!
