Episode 45: Faith

In this episode, Dr. John and Mark define faith and discuss how Christ is the object of our faith. Faith is believing in what you cannot see but it's also believing in what God hasn't done yet! Jesus was amazed twice and both involved faith. Once he was amazed at the Centurion's faith and the other was the lack of faith from the people in his hometown. The Bible says we are to live by faith, so how do we grow our faith? Dr. John mentions four ways. 1. Discover what God has revealed. 2. Choose to agree with God. 3. Confess God's revealed truth. 4. Live in the light of faith. C.S. Lewis in The Problem of Pain, "God whispers to us in our pleasure, speaks in our conscience, but shouts in our pain: it is His megaphone to rouse a deaf world."
