Dr. Yaniger received her Clinical Diplomate in Logotherapy from the Viktor Frankl Institute in the U.S. and holds a Doctor of Psychology from California Coast University. In addition, she has a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Loyola University in Chicago and is a licensed social worker in Israel. Batya has a down-to-earth style that is particularly effective for those who are seeking a way to trust themselves and trust life. In addition to her clinical work she facilitates workshops and she teaches and supervises students of Logotherapy. From an early age, I have always liked to look at life in a fresh way. No doubt, being shy helped me to be an independent thinker. Since I didn’t feel a need to follow the crowd, I questioned convention. There was the time in tenth grade when I asked the teacher to not give me a mark on my report card because I felt that being graded would only detract from my enjoyment of learning for learning’s sake. Another time I improved my eyesight by following exercises. I needed to choose my own way. It is therefore not surprising that I was drawn towards logotherapy. Like Frankl, I believe that ‘to be’ is ‘to be different.’ Each person is an irreplaceable, unique spark of the divine, running as an interwoven thread through the great tapestry of life. Thus, to live optimally with one’s self and with others requires awareness of who you are and what kind of opportunity this situation is giving you. Does a person you encounter have something of value to offer you? Do you have something of value to give? If someone is hurtful to you, what should you be doing about it? Are you facing something that feels too challenging to deal with alone? Are you struggling to accept what you cannot change? Are you seeking inner peace and joy? As a clinical therapist with personal and professional experience, I can help. Email: [email protected] Phone (IL): 054-454-1481
