We cover Kim's early history with music and technology , and how that lead to his early adventures in developing synthesisers and the eventual founding of Fairlight, his early pioneering days exploring revolutionary computer and music technologies that lead to the development of the CMI, which was the Worlds first commercially available sampling synthesiser and real time sequencer. We cover the series of events and chance meetings that eventuated in the CMI ( Computer Musical Instrument) being introduced to leading recording artists and producers, that embraced the technology and catapulted the company into the mainstream of music production.
