Karen Lean has sat on the Board of Directors and various committees at AANE and has given numerous keynotes, panel appearances, and workshops. Her writing appears in the book of essays, “Sincerely, Your Autistic Child: What People on the Autism Spectrum Wish Their Parents Knew About Growing Up, Acceptance, and Identity.” She was diagnosed with Asperger Syndrome in 2009, at the age of 32.
