Episode 46 - Hot Leads Cold Cases Guest Mark Nesbitt - Civil War Historian & Paranormal Investigator
from Hot Leads Cold Cases Podcast · host Nancy du Tertre
05/18/12 - Nancy du Tertre, known as "The Skeptical Psychic" and host of "Hot Leads Cold Cases" which airs on CBS and PAra-X Radios every Friday at 8pm, talks with her guest, Mark Nesbitt, who is a Civil War Historian from Gettysburg, PA, and also a paranormal investigator. Mark is well known in Gettysburg for his ghost tours and prolific writings, including the Ghosts of Gettysburg Series, about the strange paranormal activity in a town where America's most brutal Civil War battle was fought. Mark talks about what it was like to work as a park ranger and battlefield guide, and also about the haunted historic homes he lived in on the battlefield itself. Nancy and Mark exchange stories about hearing cannon fire, drummers, and the Confederate Rebel Yell on the battlefield. Mark tells stories of strange bright lights on Sachs Bridge and odd sensations in Devils Den. Apparently no hotel, no matter how modern, is immune from being haunted in Gettysburg where nearly 8,000 men lost their lives in 1863.
