Episode 46: Julia Vasquez

This episode is a story of struggle, determination, perseverance, success.....and running! Julia Vasquez is a runner who has had great results in her races this past calendar year.  Julia is the 2022 Bay to Breakers female champion...and we will cover that completely.  Yet....her story is one of the most impressive that has been told on this podcast.  See...Julia didn't run in high school.  She walked on to a team during college....and had an admirable 3 year stint.  Her major success didn't come together until the pandemic became a part of all of our lives.  We will hear Julia's story, from injury to struggles in college...and how she has overcome many of her obstacles that she had earlier in her running life.  Julia talks about mental preparation, strategy, and what she thinks about while running races.  Before the end, she asks me a question about changes in students and education, and we both have plenty of points of view.  I'm proud of Julia for being willing to go so in depth about everything...and I know once you listen you'll be impressed as well.  Please rate and review and tell your friends to listen wherever they get their podcasts.
