Send us Fan MailEpisode 46 - Matt Vlachoulis and Dan WayeIn episode 46 we are lucky enough to be joined by two great guests to discuss different areas of Rec Fishing in SA. Our first guest, Matt Vlachoulis, recently came 2nd in the Adelaide Game Fishing Club Kingfish competition with a 132 cm Monster! We chat about Matt’s experience fishing around the upper Spencer Gulf, catching heaps of Kings both land based and in the boat. We also ask his opinion on some of the big issues in SA Fishing including catch and release, commercial Kingfishing and hear how Matt would hate to see a repeat of the Snapper closures.We are also joined by friend of the show, Dan Waye (aka The Fishing Guru), who has been instrumental in getting fishing up and running in the Happy Valley Reservoir. The fishery has been stocked with over 1000 big Murray Cod and was opened to the public on the weekend! Dan tells us about the opening weekend, which was hugely successful with  massive numbers of people attending and heaps of Murray Cod successfully caught!
