Episode #46: The Battle of Qadesh at SUNY New Paltz: Jared and Kelly Debrief the Event!

Loyal Audience! Please enjoy this podcast which was recorded YESTERDAY immediately following our wargaming event at SUNY New Paltz. Kelly and I, along with long time friend and mentor Dr. John Manning, ran two scenarios for Dr. Bezerra's classes, each of which focused on the Battle of Qadesh (1274 BCE). We put a lot of time into crafting the scenario, playtesting it over and over to ensure that both sides had the opportunity to win. The students had a blast, and dare I say, everyone involved saw the value of game based learning. Kelly took a ton of photos and video, interviewing students about their experience to get a better sense of what they enjoyed about the experience. We'll more than likely build some sort of montage for our Youtube page.
