Characters * Frodo – a hobbit, has recently been stabbed.* Sam/Merry/Pippin – Frodo’s friend hobbits, have not been stabbed.* Strider – Human Ranger, also not stabbed* Glorfindel – an Elf from Rivendell, and also died fighting a Balrog in the Silmarillion. * Black Riders – All Nine! This chapters has the group (still not a Fellowship) walking from Weathertop , crossing the Hoarwell River, through the Trollshaws (pit stop to see Bilbo’s trolls), and then across the Bruinen towards Rivendell.
