The good thing about Progressives is that they always push too far, and finally people at all parts of the political spectrum realize that we don't need their stupid ideas.This is an occasion for optimism. The New York Times is saying, hey, all  you people with goofy ideas are no longer going to have a free ride, even at the New York Times! Your arguments are beginning to look very weak....QED: now is a good time to pursue genuine reform.--------------------------------------------Whatever Happened To Phonics? A casual gym friend who had seemed COLD to the book for the past many months actually got the sample from Apple Books and announced to me with a girlish smile: "I looked at your book. I like it. I think it's more a woman's book that a man's book.."....  (?!) The last thing I would try to write is a woman's book. Frankie is something of a sci-fi mystery thriller. That this friend likes it is a very good sign because I do try to write for everyone. Let's Fix Education explains to Americans why their schools are so bad. The people in charge prefer mediocrity because they are socialists of one kind or another. If people work together to promote real education, we'll have it.Support the show
