Episode 47: "No One Wants to Fight Over Cucumbers In Prison" ft. Jule Hall & Demetrius James

This week Rudy hosts Jule Hall & Demetrius James from The Innocence Project and Bard Prison Initiative to talk about their respective post-incarceration journeys, how they perceive and pursue justice for those still behind bars–including both of their work in community farming– and how to provide stability for those reentering society after prison. We are also briefly joined by community member Remo 369 (@mac.shaman369) who joins in the conversation and talks about spirituality and how their connection to community and their ancestors grounds them. Please sign the petition to stop the execution of Marcellus Williams (scheduled for September 24th, 2024): https://innocenceproject.org/petitions/stop-the-execution-of-marcellus-williams-an-innocent-man/Follow the Innocence Project:@innocenceproject on instagramtheinnocenceproject.orgFollow & listen wherever you get your podcasts: https://rss.com/podcasts/unapologetictawk/?listen-on=true Don’t forget to leave us a nice rating :)Follow the podcast on socials:Instagram: @unapologetictawk Tik Tok: @unapologetictawkFollow Relly: @rellyrebel Follow Dimez: @dimez_cartierFollow Rudy: @shacqealRudy is the creator of Blacksky, an algorithm to connect Black users on Bluesky and the basis for other community algorithms on Bluesky.
