Episode 47: The Unsolved Case of Jimmy and Lily Ming

from Cascadia Crime & Cryptids · host Cascadia Crime & Cryptids

Jimmy and Lily Ming were kidnapped from their home shortly after a family wedding in January of 1985 in the Strathcona neighborhood of Vancouver, BC.  The Ming family received a ransom note the next day with an impossible sum, but tried their best to not only raise the ransom money but reason with the kidnappers.  7 weeks later, the kidnapping would come to a tragic end, but investigators could only speculate about who was responsible.  Today, the case of Jimmy and Lily Ming is still unsolved - what happened to this young couple? Thank you to Eve Lazarus and her book Cold Case Vancouver for much of the groundwork covering this story + continually looking for answers!
