Episode 47 - Trauma (2017) - "A Chilean Film"

This week on the podcast, pack the Mazda full of white wine, and for the love of god share your location with someone, because we’re getting ready for a girls trip! We sat down and watched the 2017 Chilean made, Rape-Revenge Horror film, “Trauma”. A special shout out, as this was a fan recommendation, we officially  got more than we bargained for! This movie seems to really wear its influences on the surface, pulling from such French Extremity films like “Martyrs” and “Frontiers”; and most notably “A Serbian Film”. While the film is notably low budget and at times weak in story, it’s more than effective in its shock, thoroughly entertaining in its splash of action and some great practical effects.. that is if you can get past its need to make you vomit and recoil throughout the duration of the film.
